Ashokrao Mane (1957- 2006)

Ashokrao Mane was born in the village of Ambap in 1957. He started several educational institutions at the age of twenty three. He started various primary, secondary, higher secondary, vocational and professional educational institutions.With regards to political and social work, Govt. of Maharastra awarded him RasikMitraby considering his great contributions.
BalasahebShikshanPrasarkMandalwas established on 12/12/1980. With the establishment of this institute, rural families were educated. So, the level of their development raised. He was keen to develop rural areas.
Janatakukootpalan is a cooperative organization started by him for the purpose of providing employment to people in Ambap.
Along with this he started handloom institution. He was the director of TatyasahebKoreWarana cooperative sugarfactory for ten years. 
He also held the post of Sarpanch of the village Ambap.
He had done glorious work as the chairman of PanchayatSamiti,Hatkanangale.

    Shri.Balasaheb ManeshikshanprasarakmandalB.Ed.College, Kolhapur started its academic session in the year 1986.The educational institution is affiliated to ShivajiUniversity, Kolhapur and is recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Bhopal. One year fulltime under graduate degree levelbachelor of education(B.Ed.) course is conducted by the institution firstly, after that two years B.Ed. course semester wise structure accepted by the college from 2014( as per NCTE regulation 2014).
